VakıfBank reached the semi-final in the Turkish Cup

VakıfBank advanced to the semi-finals by winning against Galatasaray HDI Sigorta 3-0 in the quarter-finals of the Turkish Cup. In VakifBank Isabelle Haak was the top scorer in the game with 23 points; Gabi, Zehra and Michelle Bartsch-Hackley recorded 8 points each. VakıfBank will face the winner of the THY - Kuzeyboru match in the semi-final.

 

The last Turkish League and Turkish Cup champion VakıfBank won in the quarter-finals of the Turkish Cup after the 2021 FIVB Club World Championship victory. Faced with Galatasaray HDI Sigorta, the yellow-blacks won the match 3-0 and advanced to the semi-finals.

 

VakıfBank won the first set of the game at VakıfBank Spor Sarayı with a score of 25-22. Playing a more comfortable second set, the yellow-blacks brought the game to 2-0 with a set score of 25-13. VakifBank, won the third set 25-20 and the match 3-0.

 

Isabelle Haak was the top scorer in VakıfBank with 23 points; Gabi, Zehra Güneş and Michelle Bartsch-Hackley each scored 8 points. Kübra Akman and Buket Gülübay finished the game with 4 points each.

 

VakıfBank will face the winner of the THY - Kuzeyboru match in the semi-final. The last world champion will host Eczacıbaşı Dynavit in the next match in the Turkish League on Monday, January 17 at 19.00.
