Russian spiker Marina Markova is at VakıfBank

Continuing its work in line with the new season squad planning, VakıfBank transferred Marina Markova. The Russian spiker, who will play for Jakarta Elektrik PLN in the summer season, will join VakıfBank in August.

VakıfBank, Turkey's team that won the most international trophies, transferred Marina Markova in line with the new season squad structure. Russian spiker Markova, who will play for Indonesian team Jakarta Elektrik PLN in the summer, will join VakıfBank in August.

Born on January 27, 2001 in Russia, Marina Markova played for the Leningradka Saint Petersburg youth team from 2016 to 2019 and then played at Syracuse University from 2019 to 2022. She spent the 2022-2023 season at the University of Florida.

At the beginning of the 2023-2024 season, Marina Markova transferred to Muratpaşa Municipality, one of the Sultans League teams, and completed the season in Igor Gorgonzola Novara. Markova won the CEV Challenge Cup championship with this team and played in the semi-finals of the Italian League. In the summer of the same season, she played for Jakarta Elektrik PLN from Indonesia and joined VakıfBank before the 2024-2025 season.
