Born on December 16, 1996 in Istanbul, Sıla Çalışkan started her volleyball career in VakıfBank youth. After leaving VakıfBank, Çalışkan played for Seramiksan, İstanbul Aydın University, Fenerbahçe, Çan Gençlik Kale, Vasas Obuda, PTT, Nilüfer Belediyespor and Turkish Airlines in the 2023-2024 season. She returned to VakıfBank before the 2024-2025 season.
