Continuing its preparations for the new season, VakıfBank has signed middle blocker Yuan Xinyue, who also plays for the Chinese National Team. Yuan Xinyue, a gold medalist from the 2016 Rio Olympics, will wear the yellow and black jersey next season.
VakıfBank, Turkey's team with the most international trophies, has transferred Yuan Xinyue as part of their new season squad structure.
Born in China on December 21, 1996, Yuan Xinyue has played for Bayi, Guangdong Evergrande, Jiangsu Zenith Steel, and has been with Tianjin Bohai Bank since 2019. The volleyball player, who has been named the best middle blocker in the Chinese League four times and was also the best middle blocker in the VNL 2023, won a gold medal with the Chinese National Team at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Most recently, Xinyue captained the Chinese National Team at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Yuan Xinyue has won the FIVB World Cup, one FIVB Grand Champions Cup, one Asian Championship, and two Asian Games championships in 2015 and 2019. She has also won the Chinese League six times and the Chinese National Championship five times.
