Born on January 21, 1998, Bahar Akbay started her sports career in the youth team of the Beylikdüzü Volleybol İhtisas Kulübü. The player, who became professional and played here from the 2016 - 2017 season to the 2020 - 2021 season, spent the next season at the PTT in the Turkish League. The 1.96 m tall middle blocker won the CEV Champions League and Turkish Cup championships in the 2022-2023 season with VakıfBank.
